Easy to remember paragraphs about Horegallu, Mending Wall and Amigo Brothers

Horegallu by Sudha Murty is about a stone bench in a village. The author's grandfather sat there listening to the problems of the villagers.  People need a place to rest their minds.  Ratna was also such a person.  She used to listen to the problems of her co workers.  We should listen to others’ problems with patience, without judging or advising. Like a horegallu, a good listener gives relief and strength to people.  Thus they can continue their journey in life.

Mending Wall by Robert Frost is about two neighbours.   They meet every spring to repair the stone wall between their farms. The speaker feels the wall is not necessary. But the neighbour believes, “Good fences make good neighbours.” The poem makes us think about use and misuse of walls. In an ideal society walls are unnecessary.  But till the time we attain that maturity, walls may be necessary.

Amigo Brothers by Piri Thomas is about two best friends, Antonio and Felix. They both love boxing. They train together and dream of becoming champions. One day they have to fight each other in a big match. They fight with all their strength, but they do not allow the match to affect their friendship. The story shows that true friendship is more important than winning or losing.
